World renowned human rights and LGBTI rights activist and LondonMet alumnus - Peter Tatchell - disusses his reasons for choosing to study Sociology at London Met predecessor institution the Polytechnic of North London. Peter had the chance to go to Oxford, Cambridge & the LSE but he chose London Met because of its inovative approach to Sociology. Peter also described the debt he owes to his lecturers including Professor of Public Health - Eileen O'Keefe - for his achievements since leaving university - as well as some of his exploits as a student activist in the 1970s.
