http://www.free-awareness.com - One of Free Awareness' most used pointers, is to relax your focus/thoughts for 2 -to-5 seconds, again and again.

True Relaxation means that we let go for a moment of believing in our thoughts. We relax focusing on things, thoughts, stories and emotions, and instead we rest as we are, undisturbed by all these experiences.

Consistently apply this relaxation-technique to come to an experiential realization of the free essence of every perception, within and as exactly this here-and-now experience. We come to realize the brilliant ISNESS of every moment until we're certain enough of its free and ungraspable nature, that we automatically stop suffering about experiences and enjoy an ever greater ease of Being.

  • last week i had two men kick in the door to my apartment, one of them quickly made his way to me, i was sitting on a couch, the man put a gun to my head, the other man put a gun to my sisters head who was sitting across from me. they then demanded we give them our money. I was surprised to see my sister did not bat an eye, I told them "I would have given you the money for the asking" they took our money and left my room. I think even they were surprised we did not react with shock.

  • Bentinho, Yes, this is the source of life. I do it for 20 to 30 minutes twice a week. Naturally, this surrendering then begins to move into the daily activities of life even when I'm not specifically doing it. Thank-you for this video. Aloha, Aliman.

  • I very much appreciate your work, though feel that resting in the nature of mind, relaxing all discursiveness, needs to be balanced with a cultivation of mindfulness -- the capacity to skillfully concentrate the mind. If you look at how traditional Dzogchen teachers (within the Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism) work with their students, always there is this dual focus. Anyway, just something to consider (or not :)

  • @hakamilakanwal yes just let go thought even very dark i can say this is proces but this is still present cheers i have too depression and very negative when i dont do anything with that i relaxing more and more :)
