Caesar died but his name and influence dominated the Western Roman Empire for its entirety. Even after the empires collapse, he continued to influence the leadership of the entire world. The German Kaiser, Russian Tsar, and English king were all titles descended from his name.

@Escipion200 Yes, but nevertheless Caesar was the one who tried to overthrow the republic, in which his nephew Octavian succeeded in.
And btw, "Ave Caesar" was actually first used for the future roman emperors by gladiators in the arena.

@SternMann93 because the republic against Caesar fought wasn't the type of republic I deffend. In the days of Caesar, the republic was in decadence.
