Re: scary bug I found in my room

So When I woke up the next day the bug was still alive and running around within the two sheets of plastic. My carpool arrived and I decided to bring the bug to work to show why I looked so tired. I showed everyone and then I just left it on my assistant's desk. My assistant decided he didn't want it on his desk so he put it back on my desk. A few hours went by and I still didn't want to let it out cause it might produce more, but I also didn't want to kill it so I went online an found out that June beetles eat sugar water. I had some strawberries for lunch and decided to give the bug the stems. The bug seemed to like the strawberries, because it stopped pacing about in an angry manner and just started eating the strawberry. So I named it StrawBarry. StrawBarry seemed happy and was chilling out at the bottom of it's new glass cup. I thought he died so I shook the cup a little, but he was just resting from all the strawberry eating. I had several threats from coworkers saying they were going to kill the bug, but I was able to hide the bug till they left. I left StrawBarry at work that night because the thought of bringing the bug back in the car was out of the question. The next day I came back to find StrawBarry dead. It was a gluttonous suicide, or death by strawberry. Maybe I'll make a memorial for the bug that once terrorized me in the middle of the night. Then again maybe not.

You know june bugs live up to five years in the dirt and then on one night become flying beetles. They only live one to two nights to reproduce so I guess that StrawBarry got a Berry happy night! ; )

one of these bugs was on my back when i sat down, i thaught the feather cushion was sticking into me a bit so i kept re ajusting the way i was sitting.. after a few minutes a put my hand behind me and pulled a green june bug out... It had been Biting me!! they do bite.. and it left 2 round , itchy.. patches on my back :(
