@TheGothicEmpress An idol wasn't destroyed but in Survivor Gabon, one guy convinced the players at the fake merge feast to throw an idol (which was a ornament on the feast table) into the ocean. No one went to get it and no new idol was introduced into the game to replace it.
-
@nick2s Well I suppose it would be beneficial if you were the least expected person and it was found near camp, but going to exile makes you a bigger target.
Has anyone tried to destroy an immunity Idol before?
-
@TheGothicEmpress I see what you are saying but Yau-man has the benefit that no one knows that he found the idol or planted the fake. Causing distrust can be a good thing if you are completely in the loop, which he was. And considering it was yau man, i still think he would have won if he got to the end.

I can't see how beneficial it is,
-the moment they realize it's a fake, is the moment they know it was found by someone from exile or near camp.
-a fake idol played, will distort the trust between players. and it will give players time to weed out the liars before tribal council.
-That won't be good for jury points
-
I I on it XD
-
It's even funnier how he is making the fake idol in front of everybody
-
haha so hilarious. He's kinda smart though :)
"So many Immunity Idols running around the place!"
-
Wow, I see how old this is. Numb3rs was still airing.

@jseeker1867
no it was never mentioned again, but it inspired many players in future seasons to make their own fake idols, which many people fell for
