http://www.streamingwell.com/testing-... Dr Peter Saul, an allergy specialist explains how children often outgrow their egg allergies by the age of 3 or 4 although it is always wise to carry out egg allergy tests at this age to assess the level of reaction.

This film highlights that due to the often severe reaction to eggs in young children, testing must be performed with care. Egg allergy testing can be performed using skin prick tests and the "egg challenge" -- a process which involves giving the child a small amount of home cooked scrambled eggs, first on the skin, then lips and finally through ingestion. The effects of the egg are carefully studied over the period of 30 minutes and if no reaction is apparent, the child is no longer allergic to eggs.
