On the flip side, doing the "Lords work". Let's assume that lord is Jesus Christ. With so much power and influence in the world what exactly is that work? If it's bringing about the end of days to usher new power, new blood, a new world he might be right. I suspect it would disturb people to discover what these men of "power" really believe, and what their ideology is. They may even be stooges of a more organized group. In the big picture of things I suspect we arent allowed to know sh!t.

Crazy isn't it. If anyone here said Goldman Sachs think they are doing Gods work and think they have a conduit to communicate with the Lord, you'd be smeared as a conspiracy nut.

It's just a fact that power conspires. It has to. I'm non religious, but I do know Satan is also known as "the Lord of this Earth". The biblical chapter where Satan offers Jesus all the kingdoms of the Earth is very rarely interpreted as I believe it is meant. Satan rules the Earth. But again I am not religious.
