  • No it's nowhere near the first color move. It's the first move to use the two-strip Technicolor process.

    The first use of the Technicolor first process was a film called The Gulf Between.

    There's an 8min short color film using the Kinemacolor process called A Visit to the Seaside from 1908.

  • Might be worth to note that this is said to be the first ever color movie. Dunno if it's true, if not then sorry.
