  • there is plenty of room for disagreement. after all we are all about self-determination as long as it isnt at the expense of others.

  • The Civil War was not about Slavery. That is a lie promoted to dissuade people from the truth that the Civil War was a war of Northern Aggression for money intrest.

As for removing the politicians, it will not happen, because the news media wants them in power and they control too many American. They are controlled by the people who have descended from the money people who controlled Lincoln.

Armed revolt will happen and our best hope is the American Military defending the Constitution.

  • yup, quite sad really that 600,000 people died so big business could take over america.

  • couldn't agree more, rotten to the core.

  • Actually, one hell of alot of the US Armed forces and equipment, factories ships and such are in the South so you could technically have a large enough army with decent equipment and such but i doubt you really want to go to war again. You'd just destroy each other completely. Lets all hope there is a peaceful political ending to this where the South can be its own country once more free of the Union.

  • It is really quite simple. Slavery and its actual restriction and eventual destruction become an objective as "public sentiment" required. As folks lost interest in re-establishing these "mystic chords of union" and grew in their contempt for the literal thousands of young men in their prime not coming home. The Lincoln administration first tried to entice seceded States into coming back with a "war measure" aka the "emancipation proclamation"

  • The emancipation not only did not cover the entire confederacy but left several months from its issue date until the first day '63 when it would take effect. The implication being, that any seceded State/s that came back within that time frame would not be subject to it on January 1st. However, the conflict continued and finally Lincoln was forced by members of his party in the face of almost certain defeat in the '64 election to adopt and actual "anti-slavery" stance for once. Moral? No way.

  • trade is completely outlawed with no exceptions or 20 year waiting period like the US one.

  • other words that they weren't upholding their end of the bargain. Nullifying the fugitive slave law was a breach of contract so it got used as the excuse. But if you look at Davis and others address the southern people it's never about slavery but freedom and liberty. Davis never says "now that we are free we can propagate the institution for all time without resistance" the actions say exactly the opposite. It says right in the constitution that the african slave

  • illinois almost reinstated slavery. that state had the strictest black codes ever seen in the nation at any time. Lincoln coming from these people certainly didn't want 4 million black people freed and given citizen ship with the ability to come into his state. He was an ardant racist. I too agree against the politicians wanting to leave over slavery. Slavery was ultimately used as a legal excuse so the north couldn't say the south was leaving illegitimately with the contract intact, in
