Wanting to check out my new digital night vision monocular and sony video camera combo. Still a little rough learning how to adjust the light sensitivity but very impressed so far. Can't wait to lay the smack down on some night time critters, particularly those that go "oink."

  • could you take the hornet out and film through it aimed at the sky on a starry night..im curious to see how good it sees the stars compared to the yukon ranger...thanks ahead of time if you decide to do this,,im sure many people are interested to see the starry sky through this scope

  • @d0n77 yes and will do on my next night out that's not too cloudy or if the moons not too full. ive actually got a recorder now so I am not having to film through the Monocular. It works great!

  • No model number its a Yukon Norton Hornet. Just google "5x digital monocular" it should be the first one that pops up.

  • Thats gonna work great! Just use a dimmer flashlight now. No more batteries on the back. All you'll have to do is aluminate the eyes enough for a shot. The camera will have plenty of light. I like to zoom a bit so I get rid of most the circle. Good luck on the next hunt.

  • @dnahoghunter I tested it with my infrared enhancer from my NV Rifle scope. I won't even need to turn on the video camera's infrared night mode. I also turned down the light power on the night vision monocular and the image is def. more crisp. Can't wait tell next week to test it out on some varmints or porkers!

    Thanks for the idea D!!!

  • @SpecialEd309 great man,,thank you very much,,im sure many people using digital nv scopes to sky watch/stargaze will be very interested in that video when you post it..i do know nobody has posted a vid like that yet for the newton hornet and many people are asking what it looks like on forums,,plus most people cant afford the 500 dollar nv's which might make the hornet the next best thing after the yukon ranger,,the ranger is nice, but bulky and uses many batteries,,thanks again ed

  • Is there a model number for your Yukon Hornet?
