Memories of Will and Lyra

This is a tribute to Will and Lyra one of the saddest love stories ever told. This is my first attempt making anything like this. Also there is not a lot of His Dark Materials fan art. The song is Memories by Within Temptation.

This was wonderful. The last picture is my favorite, the one showing Will and Lyra at age 12 when they were forced to part ways, flanked by Will and Lyra in their own worlds when they are in their mid-twenties. I cannot help but feel that they deserved better.

How does he even fall in love again,with some chick without a crazy daemon.. Noooo thank you.. Everyone will think he's gay or something or maybe Will would say to himself "I have to move on and when he kisses canoodles and gets funky with this hypothetical chick he'll be thinking of our sweet lovely Lyra, the poor girl!..

Maybe I'm thinking into this too much well there's no maybe about it but someone think into it too much as well and help me out here, I'm losing sleep.

, high school etc... How could he wake up to our mundane life and know what is happening one flip of the coin away.. Then onwards he goes to university (possibly) and then a job for the next half of his life until retirement, presuming he lives that long of course.. maybe I'm being a die hard romantic but I just don't know how he could go one knowing what he knows.. Even for myself it's almost a case of ignorance is bliss and I only read the book!!

Wow, just wow. I recently finished reading the book, actually I keep reading the ending again and again and I wish it was real and I wish I could go to Lyra's world and bring Will with for some passionate reunification. aaaand I'm aware that I sound like an Idiot..

But really think about it. What is Will going back to? His mother (who at best doesn't need looking after) and a friendship with Mary Malone where they will spend 98.3% of the time reminiscing! And then helping him through growing up

foamy9, not to be rude, but your wrong. That WASN'T what Xaphalia said. She said that there was a way to look into other worlds without going there. They WILL see each other again, but only when they die, and not as angels. I think.

for all those who have been touched by this story, i believe that although they are forced to remain a part in their lifetimes, Xaphania's hope, was that they would become angels, so a lifetime apart, but an eternity together
