Gwen is the spokesperson for a radical technology allowing people to overcome their natural disadvantages and begin life anew. But when her job and family are in crisis, will she undergo the procedure herself?

Directed by Jennifer Phang

FUTURESTATES is a series of short narrative films from veteran and emerging filmmakers transforming complex social issues into visions of our world in the decades to come. In Season Four, seven filmmakers envision our society at a crossroads, where discrimination, environmental catastrophe, visitors from the future and other worlds test the bonds of our humanity. Will we stand together, or break apart? Nothing is inevitable but the future.
