@mouloudo My dad used to record in an old studio in the early '60's where the owner made a real echo chamber before effects were sold. It was a small all tile room, floor to ceiling with a couple of mic's that had incredible sound my dad said. Its hard to beat electronics but natural effects are so much bigger I think. I love the way Gilmour massages sound. SRV and others make you want to rock out and jam, but hearing Gilmour's notes is like soaring in a glider.
@herbiesnerd yeah I know, I'm a Gilmour freak lol, I have something like 2000$ of pedals from his 1994 rig... but he uses the natural reverb of the venue when he plays live, and the one from the room in studio, or probably add it with the console, but I dont think reverb is needed when you have a delay, combining the both make the sound too "blurry"
I've checked a lot of YouTube David Gilmour junkie guitar players out there and his arsenal of effects. One common effect it seems Gilmour does not use, which surprised me, is Reverb. Seems Gilmour gets all the depth in his sound with everything else, like chorus and sustain.
The one dislike is from Gilmour.lol
