lol, im making myself sound weird, but the sound quality is TOO good, lol. its stiill amazin version, but i feel its lackin the rawness i was expecting. you know, acoustic guitar, your voice, outside, nothing to do. Its raw... this sound quality removes the raw feel and replaces it with a studio one.
i have no idea what you are saying. you can hear the wind and he misses a few chords and changes his voice like 4 times to find what works....far from studio. great song and version though
The reference that stood out for me immediately was the 'at night i woke up with the sheets soaking wet' ... its a pretty good song baby you know the rest. Which as im sure you are all aware is a 'im on fire' by bruce springsteen line. But then i guess thats because im a huge boss fan. Lots of artists adapt lyrics, i like the way Brian makes it more obvious, i dont think its to 'rip them off' but more a respectful 'hats off', which i love.
I wish TGA would make an acoustic record of these songs because they are as good if not better than some of the originals. Brian Fallon is a great lyricist and I can't wait for the new album!
Ive only gotten into TGA in the last couple of months but i agree that an acoustic album would be nice. A Brian Fellows Nebraska style album would be awesome! Dont think all his acoustic versions are better than the originals though, i love their heavier rock numbers, and i reckon the drummer Benny Horowitz is absolutely class.
