SFPD Capture, Beat, Terrorize Confined Activists at 49 Powell St.

Near the end of an anti-police march thru San Francisco, in protest of the SFPD killing of Kenneth Harding Jr. (19 years old) in Bayview, SFPD captured and surrounded around 30 activists, beating and terrorizing them, and later arrested them all for "Failure to Obey Officers." The arrested activists have a court date on August 22, 2011. Rally in front of the SF Superior Court Aug 22 @ 8am! Drop all the charges against the SF 43! End the police terrorism!

Unruly? didn't you watch the video? the pigs captured, not only those involved in the march, but bystanders, journalists, anyone in the area, detained them illegally, for over an hour, not allowing anyone to use the bathroom, or move from the area. the corporate media was not welcome at the march, and this was made clear as your reporter was interviewing someone in the march and the march responded by chanting "fuck the corporate media." i was within 5 feet of the incident and there was no "attack." the camera was appropriated. why are you asking if the people involved with the camera were arrested? if your not working for the police, you certaintly are doing the work of the police, maybe just not being paid, all the same.

the only person from the media "attacked" was by the powell street, and the police committed the attack. a woman media reporter was knocked to the ground, and started crying in response. the video is available online, and report on the incident. find it, im not going to do the work for you, but if your interested in media attacks, check your police, like when they beat that fox reporter in macarthur park on may day, your police doin the attacking, but you know that

No questions, this march/demonstration was planned and carried out against generalized anti-Black police terrorism and specifically, against the killing of Kenneth Harding Jr., however misguided some may be, the purpose was to make a statement to the police that shooting of anyone will not go unnoticed, or without consequence.
