DiskAid transfers files to and from any app installed on the device. Most apps store data and documents within their own documents folder (located within the app's main folder). DiskAid detects an app with file sharing enabled and displays the app's icon in the Navigation pane (at the left of the Diskaid window, under 'Applications'). By clicking the corresponding app icon, the document folders appears in DiskAid's file browser and from there it is possible to copy existing documents and data files from the device to the computer and transfer documents from the computer to the device.

@ssoonniioo I haven't tried that but you may be able to do it by browsing through the apps (e.g. Viber) that DiskAid lists in the left-hand navigation pane. You might find the text files in there. That's the best guess I can give you.

All I want to do is transfer all the saved text messages on my old 3g to my computer. none of this makes any sense to me. If anyone has a simple explination it would be appreciated. thanks. I just want to get the info off the phone so I can restore it and sell it! without losing 2 years worth of sms...

@kirah1977 The video explains exactly how to do that. Watch it carefully. The steps are clearly laid out. In case you didn't catch it, the program needed to do this is called DiskAid. To download it, check the download link which is in the video's description.

@palimano1 I think what you're asking is if you can still get your messages that you've previously deleted. If this is what you're asking you cannot. No program will do this for you.

This isn't free anymore.... without the "pro" version you can't copy the texts to your computer. This video is useless.
