What do you mean bosco doesnt know how to act like a good guy? Hes always a good guy, specially with Faith, whos one of the few people he truely cares about. Bosco is perfect, hes absolutely awesome and gorgeous

in answer to your question I think he is just saying to Faith don't hide EVERYthing from your kids REGARDLESS of whether or not she is going to stay with Fred. But personally I think he does want her to stay with Fred anyway because they are husband and wife and they love each other (or did at that point).

I think whatever backstory makes the character more interesting they will and and then they just smudge the facts a little from what they have said before

I've never quite been sure what Bosco is advocating here: Faith staying with Fred, or to stop hiding the problems from the kids. But it is one of those moments when you see why Faith puts up with the Bosco everyone else sees -- he's a good guy underneath, who just has no idea how to act like a good guy.
