@alen209 still, you'd better off with single shot to conserve ammo anyway... Unless you are sitting on a pile of ammo - in that case you will be free to spray at whatever is menacing.

@alen209 You need to drill the hole for a sear and install it. If you block the disconnector you have no way to prevent the hammer from returning along with the bolt/striking the firing pin prematurely.
If you do that, you have an AK you can't fire unless you drive far into the woods or something because being seen with an AK with a hole drilled in the right place = jail and $10,000 fine.

@mikeymike4g63 I was not talking about modern versions of AR15 or m16 I was comparing original m16 and the AK-47 trying to keep them as close to same age as possible. I am not saying the AR15 is not a good rifle I like the AR15 im just saying compared to original version of the m16 it's better. And besides the AK-47 is hell of a gun to have been made and still used since 1947.

@theleoandsatanfan the m16 and ar15 are identical except for the auto sear above the fire control group. those variants of ak's you speak of still operate in the same manner and probably over near 100% commonality with the original AKM.

@mikeymike4g63 I was talking about m16 not ar15 plus there are different ak47s built to the country of origins specifications which means even though they are all ak47s they can perform diferently.
