Was using it in one section of hair for a longer amount of time make a difference? And did you find that using it more often (every week, did you say?) was beneficial? I use it about once every 6 weeks and found that it worked best the first time and that the longer I left it on didn't seem to "relax" the hair any more. But there could be various reasons for my experience with it.

how do i know what hair texture i am??

An alternative to coconut cream relaxer is the Natural Laxer sold at chacoal.com

Did you say "nap" or "nape"?

How old are you?? You look like you're 24 but you talk like you're 45! "I've been relaxing my hair for about 20 years almost half my life since I was 15." :S Plz explain.

@knt1229 I completely agree with you. For those who use chemical relaxers with the excuse that it makes hair manageable, then they need to try this. There are tons of natural hair softeners our there. Relaxers and texturizers should only be use if a person actually wants looser or bone straight hair. I'm 4b and shea butter is the only way to comb through my shoulder length hair.

Does it make your relaxed hair heavy? I don't put grease in my hair because i dislike the oily look.

I am happy that you had great results! I am transitioning as well. Have you done the big chop yet?

@knt1229 I agree with you completely. If it just so happens to happen that way then it's all good, but I got tired of believing the hype. I'm a true 4d and I have embraced the fact that I will have little to no curl pattern and have stopped wasting money on products not designed for my hair type and just focus on moisturizing.

Thanks for the vid. I'm probably going to order the coconut cream concentrate so I can try this method out. I was just looking for people who have already tried this. This helps. Good luck on your journey to healthier hair :)
The coconut natural relaxer does not change your texture. If you are a 4b or 4c you will stay a 4b or c BUT your hair will be softer, more manageable, and easier to comb. It won't look different and you won't have any curls like a 4a or 3c. I use this often and all it does is make the hair more manageable and soft. Period.

I have only used the coconut cream relaxer once and my curl pattern did loosen and appear to be more softer and manageable. It appears to be more softer now than when I first did the treatment. I have also done a Carmel natural relaxer and it appears my texture has changed the the better. I also have been doing a coconut, EVOO, Honey and jojoba pre-poo as well. My hair seems to have a more wavy pattern in the top instead of the hard tight pattern. Just my results and observation for me.

Hmmm...I have a feeling that the big chop will be coming for you soon...I need to watch your other videos on coconut cream, but I've heard many good things about it as a conditioner as well as a styling product. I live in a VERY dry climate, so if I can use some coconut cream and maybe olive oil mixed together, that just might revive my hair on it's parched days.

Hi, I have thought about adding Olive Oil to the mix but not to much. I will have to experiment with this My hair like the Avocado so I was thinking about adding that in my coconut relaxer.
I think my hair moisture will increase with continue use of this technique. My hair get so dry especially the new growth. Even wild grow does not keep it completely hydrated.
You probably can try a good hydrating conditioner and a good daily moisturizer. Co-Washes are Great for dry hair.
