@moimoiac that is without question correct. Echo & The Bunnymen are the band Bono really wanted to be in. However he had to settle with his motley crew of chancers who lucked out big time. "War" saw them rip off the Bunnymen sound and mood. Then Eno and Lanois came along and made them global. The majority (if not all) of Unforgettable Fire and Joshua Tree are Eno and Lanois crafting musical landscapes out of the simplest song ideas from the Edge. Overrated doesn't begin to describe it.
