Mig 21 killed more Indians than Pakistanis...It is fact.....The indian material science is of very poor quality and whenever they procured components from Indian vendors, it did not work properly....recent products from HAL ( with collaboration with French and Israeli design firms) are better....

Iraqi pilots were inexperienced and their birds were not Su-30 "MKI" or even Su-30s for that matter, they were early versions of Su-27 and not even well maintained. What can you expect from them?

And it is easier to evade a missile than cannon on your tail. It just needs flares or chaff or some hard turn which is a cakewalk for Su-30MKI. Su-30MKI is the 2nd best aircraft in service after F-22. First aircraft in service aircraft in the world to have TVC and Super-maneuverability.

@bilal1219 Go ahead; ask your pilots when you got a BVR capability when you sent your previous batch of F-16s for upgrades to Lockheed Martin.

And just for your knowledge, missiles don't lock on without an independent system; radars do. Not the AAMs of that era at least. Don't talk through your wrong end when you don't know jack about military technicalities.

@nikuskumar MiG-21 components that failed the IAF were purchased from 3rd party vendors during the 90s when USSR collapsed and Russia was weak. Hence there was no reliability of the parts and this is what caused them to crash so often. MiG-21 was the power demon of its time and it is our government's fault not to replace them in the early 2000s itself and kept delaying with scams and corruptions always.

Don't blame a veteran for mistakes committed by our corrupt government.
