For over 3,000 years Egypt was ruled by Pharaohs. But in that last sweep of time, one pharaoh stands out. He would reign for 67 years, command the largest empire on earth and capture the imagination of the world. His name was Ramesses. Ramesses built a reputation that has resounded through history. It was a reputation deliberately crafted by the pharaoh himself. Ramesses was in fact a master of propaganda, projecting his power beyond the battlefield across the ancient world

  • Egypt should have tried to team up with ancient China. The video here would have been a little different. Narrator: and then ramses the 100th scored yet another victory, this is when Egypt conquered all of Africa. But someone in the zulu area (south africa) dared to no longer be loyal to the pharoah... and was mowed down in a barrage of gunfire. In a final humilliating act... the last remaining zulus were forced to clean out Egypts sanitation system. They were served coffee until extinction

  • great series

  • so the grave looting begins...

  • Awesome

  • @NECHOII That's very interesting!

  • What great ruin the majestic and enduring power of Egypt came too...

All the power and achievement that we boast of to this day is so fleeting

The seeds of its destruction ingrained in its very heart.

  • The sea people were Phoenicians (modern day Syrians/Lebanese)

  • Continuing... It should be noted that all Egyptologists are agreed that the letter written by the striking tombworkers to the Egyptian authorities that they were " starving " was greatly exaggerated. But it was true that the corrupt priests were not paying the tombworkers their proper wages. The strike put a stop to this priestly incompetance and corruption for about 40 years.

  • The first labour strike in history happened near the end of the reign of the great Ramses III. It lasted nine months and had a satisfactory conclusion for the striking tombworkers.

Tomb robbing became serious during the reign of Ramses IX, and he clamped down very hard on these robbers. It was only during the 28 year reign of the useless and last Rameses XI that the tomb robbing went out of control and the Royal mummies were removed from their resting places in the Valley of the KIngs
