The movie Factory Girl didnt represent that scene very well. She was having a discussion but she was definetly enjoying making the film.

He is being perverse we all have that quality in us. Some of us choose to use it and those that do are assholes to say the least

I don't get this?

It was almost like a rape on camera in front of other people in Factory Girl. I was almost scared for her.

@desertshore really neat how you worded that, "channeling ...the iconography"...makes me think of the collective unconscious // unconscious stream

@gina888warhol1 No, he wasn't the reason I'm watching this now. I first found out about Edie through articles about The Velvet Underground and Nico, and documentaries about about Andy Warhol's Factory. I wasn't aware of Hickenlooper's film Factory Girl until much later. I saw that movie and hated it, because it was a very inaccurate and mutilated account of Edie's life compared to the very excellent biography Edie: American Girl by Jean Stein and George Plimpton.

@johnnygodisco Paris is nada no talent nouveau riche bitch

@MowgliX The late George Hickenlooper was a kind, intelligent introspective director, who I believe caused renewed interest in Edie Sedgwick which yielded into a new cult of fascination in Warhol and Edie and is the reason you are watching her now.

@xXPinkGoddessXx Well, I don't like him. I think Chuck was a horrible snob, and a user, leech and parasite.
Chuck is a fuckin dick in this & eventho i havent seen any other footage of him w/her. i wldnt b surprised if he played this role more often than not. He might have used & exploited her more than any1! Andy is voyeurist as he is i like to perceive as the artist who was there recognize & capture Edie the humane work of art, she was the art! how lucky that warhol left us w/a timecapsule of these crazy times! no way can we imagine now what it was like then even when watching these...EDIE <3 RIP

She reminds me a little of Marilyn Monroe, the vulnerability, the soft voice, and the fact there's a lot more going on in her head.

@juswanaseesomevideos i'm sure she was channelling MM during this period. marilyn's iconography was looming large over pop culture @ the time this was shot.
