Paulina Finds Jake's Christmas Present for Rachel

It's Christmas Eve, and Paulina is angry because Jake has been so busy working on his Christmas present for Rachel that they had to wait until the last minute to get their tree. She interrogates him about the present, insisting that she wants to know what he has planned because if he's going to torture her family, she wants to be prepared. Jake tells her to trust him, and that Christmas is a time for surprises and he wouldn't humiliate her in front of her family on Christmas Day. After threatening to call Rachel and tell Rachel she has the flu and is too sick to come over on Christmas Day, Paulina finally starts to get into the spirit...but when she finds Jake's Christmas present for Rachel in the front hall closet while looking for an extension cord for the tree lights--a videotape labeled "Merry Christmas, Rachel"--Paulina calls Jake a "Christmas weasel," accuses him of making some sick videotape for Rachel, and shoves him, causing him to fall into the tree, and both Jake and the tree to fall to the floor, at which point Paulina yells that she hates Jake.
