Self-Realization Fellowship Lake Shrine Temple, Pacific Palisades, CA. Beautiful serene meditative setting near Malibu. http://www.yogananda-srf.org

I apologize for the audio problems toward the end. The video editing software was crashing my computer. Hopefully I can put up a repaired version later.

  • It looks heavenly! I would love to pay a visit! A must for Elvis Presley fans!

  • Streut Bapu' s Asche in den Ozean!!!!

  • @mommynanda Oh dear, that's terrible. Was their an investigation? What did this man do with the ashes he stole?

  • @joopsnoop

Except Dr. V.M. Nawle stole Gandhis ashes.

  • @criptovicto No, he wasn't. He met with Srila Prabhupad, yes, but he has stated himself that it was Yogananda and the teachings of Kriya that touched his life most significantly. He even included the pictures of the SRF gurus on his album cover.

  • @mommynanda His family understands. Yogananda was Gandhi's Sat-guru so they accept that his connection with Gandhi was important to Gandhi. He willed that a portion of his ashes be left to Yogananda. The remainder were with his family who have sent them to the Ganges. Don't worry, all is good and all is as Gandhi wanted.

  • my boyfriend took me here. it's such a peaceful place, i think i can sit there for hours just looking at the nice view.

  • If you but once spend a little time at this lake shrine

you will then shall know why Ghandis ashes should remain there.

  • Why do they not return Gandhijis ashes to his family as those in India have done?

They are supposed to be immersed in water by Hindu law.

Why were Ganghis ashes stolen by "great ordeal" and then put in this "shrine"?

It is not in according to Hindu law which Gandhiji lived by.

His family has asked ashes to be returned.

Why are they still in California?
