that man put millions of hours into sitting behind the drumset. you are an OBSERVER, at best a STUDENT of what he does. i'm putting these IMPORTANT words in CAPS because of how DUMB i suspect you really are.

@dylanmulcahy ...never had someone call me 'like really dumb". Is that different from just plain dumb? I am smart enough to know that a million hours = 114 years, so this dude must've been pretty old to spend that many hours practicing. I've been spending hours on my knees praying every day that I come close to being half as good as Roach just like u said. I jumped on my drumset, missed a strike aimed at my hi-hat and knocked my snare drum right off of it's stand....it worked, HALLELUJAH!!!

the more you diss max the dumber you look to real drummers who have a clue, so i suggest you stop talking and go back to feeble little existence, this man's 6 decade (thats 60+ years) career speaks for itself, so just shutup and move along

he is missing his target alot. Watch closely at 55 seconds into the video. He almost knocks his snare drum over. Some people try to over analyze his playing and claim that it's misunderstood art. You could say that about someone who is throwing paintballs at a canvas too. To me he looks and sounds like someone who is strung out on something. I think it's sad actually.

how the hell would you know what his target is?
everyone makes mistakes.. you know how many times i see REALLY good drummers drop their sticks.. ALL THE TIME!
theres nothing to misunderstand with roach.. he represents the past and the future, just because he isnt playing boring calculated prog rock doesnt mean he doesnt intend everything hes doing here.
whats really sad is that you dont get it.
