Blackout from 'In the Heights' created in Mario Paint Composer. Just some random fun!

note: this is all by ear and I cannot read/write music, so I know there are inaccuracies. also there were some hilarious limitations to the program I had to deal with!

...and this will probably never be finished.

Enjoy! ;)

  • Hooo-leee crap. This is so freaking incredible. How long did this take you? My goodness!

  • this took me three days-ish. It would have helped if I knew what note I'd be getting when placing each one of them, so it was that guesswork ate up most of my time. The rest was just listening to Blackout a billion times (oh, the horror! /sarcasm) and choosing appropriate sounds (so much fun! sorry, dog-usnavi...).

  • That was so awesome! I've been a musician for 6 years and can play by ear but I doubt I could ever write out so many different parts at once. Great job!
