Microphone Quality Boost (The Microphone 'Cover')

Here's a way of using a simple, cheap microphone and "upgrade" its sound and noise canceling properties.

Materials Needed:
A thin Coat hanger
2 paper clips
2 rubber bands
tape
1 Stocking

Process:
1. Cut two pieces off your coat hanger. Try to cut straight pieces, since the bent ones are hard to 'unbend'.

2. Create a circle - about 2 inches in diameter - with one of the cut pieces. Use a paperclip to strengthen the bond of the circle made, and cover it up with some tape (to prevent the stocking from being ripped by the paperclip afterward).

3. Bend the other piece of coathanger and insert the bent piece into your already made circle. Now connect the two - again using paperclips (just wrap them around) and wrap the connections with some more tape.

4. (OPTIONAL, BUT RECOMMENDED): Use another paperclip to connect the circle to the bend part and secure it with a small 'arc'. This will prevent the two pieces from moving too much around and will secure the shape.

5. Create a small loop - either at the end of your bent piece, or by using another piece of coat hanger and attaching it to the cover skeleton. Make sure you have an OPEN loop. This will allow you to control the diameter so it can "grab" the microphone.

6. Stretch a rubberband from one side of the bent piece to the other on top of the circle part - this is the rubber band that will make sure your mic is suspended above the metallic pieces.

6. Cover the skeleton with a stocking, stretch it and enforce with rubber band.

VOILA! Noise Canceling Miracle! :D

This is working, as you can compare how my voice sounds without the mic cover and with it.

It's a relatively simple way of making your sound device sound a whole lot better without buying cheap fancy equipment.
