(x+3)(x-3) / (x+3)(x+3) = y
x != -3, so we can cancel the x+3 term
(x-3) / (x+3) = y
x-3 = xy + 3y
x-xy = 3+3y
x(1-y) = 3+3y
x = (3+3y)/(1-y) = answer (D)
