Well, you sure paid attention to David Holt's video. No ideas yourself. You couldn't even put it in your own words. Not impressed.

Some of the slow-tempoed dixieland tunes I think is acceptable to tap on the washboard with one hand and then scratch with the other. I do that when I play washboard ....good sound on Tin Roof Blues. I do agree though that it's probably more musical to tap rather than scratching..but one can do both at the same time!

@yony120 It's a washboard ,it is used to wash cloths back in the old days,my mom still uses one for delicate stuff,somebody long ago thought it had a great sound and there you have it. You probably have heard it lots in songs but just did not know what you where hearing,cool eh ! :)
