I was in New Zealand this summer and caught a clip of Queenstown's first out rig responding from the station. While in town not more than 5 minutes later, I saw them driving back, laughing, with no lights on. Nice to see that they had some fun and didn't have to put themselves in danger. This is the first video I have made; so tips are welcome!
ps. I have a clip of the town's fire siren calling them in. Let me know if you would like to hear it.
Thanks for watching!

  • Great video mate, even we local fire buffs rarely get shots this good! If you get any fire vids back home, I'll let you join my elite "Canada & NZ Fire Videos on YouTube Club". I'm the only member at the moment, it gets kinda boring ;-P

  • Thanks!

I do not have any other videos right now. Although I may be able to get some real good clips as I am currently at a Co-op in a fire department.

ps. check out the fire siren clip I just added.

  • Good job. Hell why not put that siren video up here. Always cool to see/hear things from different places. Keep up the good work

  • Thanks!

I will be posting the fire siren clip shortly.

  • Another Canadian - @Goregoon did it justice with the comment he put there, & the video's title kindof gives away a little of the theme. It's:

Propellors Make Their Echoes Everywhere- Creating Timeless Music Forever Here (Roxburgh Fire Siren)

    ht tp (colon) //ww w(doht)you tube(doht)com/ watch?v=pfVxIuoHGlk

AND "please" remember what I said.! It starts quietly & gently - ending exactly the same.

    --

BUT IN THE MIDDLE -- IT"S AS LOUD AS ANYTHING YOU HAVE HEARD

So do NOT turn "up" the volume.

  • BUT- the nearly 11 minute version "sounds" completely & utterly different (in every meaning of that description) from the ORIGINAL 17sec MONO "clip".

Yep- utterly & totally "different". So-! How to describe this.? (before you hear it).

The sound- slides in "gently & very quietly" until it pulsates & growls indescribably LOUDLY - to "crest in a tumultuous "cacophoney" of multiple levels, multiple aspect AND MULTIPLE CHS of "everything" sounds- to then ever so gently slide away again at the end.

  • ht tp (colon) //ww w(doht)you tube(doht)com/ watch?v=0K5YI51nGrc

    Is the video of a quick 17.sec MONO dictaphone microcassette's recording;

Whereas the SAME sound_clip was "actually_reduced" (from the originally remastered 12min 21sec) down to 10 min 59.59 sec to fit INSIDE the 2010 youtube 10 minute video rule (11 minute videos weren't uploaded but "less" was)

Thus- I "made" a youtube version of the 12minute 21sec Xanga audio track (itself)remastered from THAT ONE MONO 17sec fire siren sound

  • Sadly neither the Fire truck -- IN ACTION IN DUNEDIN "video" (as I will now be pulling that good video BACK and placing BACK onto it's earlier link; or tossing elsewhere to another person's auto accept "response" function) Nor- ANY of my "other" ELEVEN (fire_related) videos- will even now- need to come here (thus): a Direct URL "post"- is the ONLY WAY- other's whom view Ur's- will see these:

    ht tp (colon) //ww w(doht)you tube(doht)com/ watch?v=0K5YI51nGrc

P.s.. "add chars & remove the spaces"

  • Oh daRn -it- I got an auto block / (video's are NOT automatically approved):

Re: You have successfully completed your Video Response!

Your video response will be posted after it has been approved by the video owner.

AND with it NOW having been over A YEAR since U last posted any own comments here it does not make anyone very hopefull of getting a speedy "approval' (or denial) therefore it's little wonder your video- has ZERO responses.? (try changing to the auto.accept function in - "EDIT")

  • If the 1st one doesn't auto respond .. then either you need to "later' approve .. or even have it "blocked" .. thus the two that relate to ach other .. would "then become invisible" to each other .. until approved.. (or not even then) so .. as I will "still" be wanting keep them t'gether .. I would thus know NOT to break their existing twin link (and thus just post their youtube URL's in a comment instead)

  • Ok I've (since viewing this) read a few of your comments here (and remembering the one from my own Canadian Trucker "youtube" friend in Keswick Ontario).? Maybe I oughta toss the 2 (or 3) FIRE VIDZ that I have made here- onto this as responses as well.?

I'll try a one first.? & If Ur "auto_respose" link is open (and it clicks through straight away)- I will toss a 17 sec MONO dictaphone siren clip vid in here; AND it's 11 minute remastered surround sound video - made from that 17sec MONO sound.

  • :-) nice one .. just there & on the spot (so to speak) .. and the "full works" ? Nah -- not for me .. as I "reside" not more than 150 Metres away from the Roxburgh Fire Station .. (halfway between: Q/town & Dunedin - South Island .. NZ) .. but - I am pleased fopr you -- as Ur lucky U got a nice clean clip. (normally Q/T is "noisey_as" ... with it's hundreds of overseas tourists walking all around) Oh - And a good general view too -- of the Remarkables & of the Gondolah (& Skyline Restuarant)

  • That's elite, alright!
