I found the script online {search terms: annie hall script} and here's the quote:

I hear-I heard what you were saying. You-you know nothing of my work. You mean my whole fallacy is wrong. How you ever got to teach a course in anything is totally amazing.

From what i recall, it's Woody Allen being clever, as McLuhan uses the term fallacy in his later works, but I wonder if "phallacy" was indeed part of the joke. Cheers!

Haha So family guy got their scene from this! When George bush is talking about jesus and peter comes up and says he has jesus right here. And jesus says you know nothing of my work. How you became president of anything is totally amazing. and then peter says. Boy if life was only like this.

Probably not a very large amount, since there are other sources of seeing that episode available, including DVDs and reruns on other channels.

I wonder if the number of views spikes every time that episode of Family Guy is on TBS.

Woody Allen originally wanted Fellini to be in this clip

No... read McLuhan and Holeopathic Quadrophenia. You can google it. One of the jokes here that I find particularly enjoyable is in the fact that if you understand McLuhan, in a subtle manner, life is in fact very much "like this".
