More Than Just Friends[13] PART TWO

PART TWO

Kevin, Deena, Nick and McKenzie are all down at the beach already. They all unpacked while things were "unraveling" in Joe and Kacy's room. Each couple had obliged to the rules about beds and things. No one was sharing a bed; no one was planning on sharing a bed. Nick and McKenzie were still pretty tired; they were napping together on the beach. Kevin and Deena couldn't be more awake, they were so hopped up on coffee and caffeine how could they be? The two were in the water splashing around and they couldn't be happier. Kevin swam under the water and grab Deena's legs out from under her.
Deena: Ahh! Kevin! No fair I wasn't ready!
Kevin: *Picking her up and putting her over his shoulder* You can't get away now!
Deena: Kevin put me down!
Kevin: Nope.
Deena: I'll never kiss you again!
Kevin:*Puts her down right away* Sorry, I couldn't risk that.
Deena:*Laughs* Haha, You're just too cute. *Kiss*
Kevin: I love you Deena.
Deena:*Smiling* I love you too.

Nick and McKenzie were sleeping for a really long time, and when Nick woke up his body was really hot and sore. He looked over at McKenzie and she was bright pink. She was really burned on her back. He gently shook her awake.
Nick: Kenzi, does your back hurt when I touch it? *Gently places hand on the small of her back*
McKenzie: Ow! Don't touch!
Nick: You got really bad sunburn, I think we should go back upstairs.
McKenzie: *Looking at Nick's shoulders and his back when he turned around* You're pretty pink too.
Nick: Yeah, I could feel it. Want help getting up or are you okay?
McKenzie: I'm good, just really tired. Let's go.
Nick: *Leaving Kevin a text on his phone to tell him where they are going* (AN: Kevin doesn't have his phone in the water, he's sending him a text so he'll get it when he comes out.) Yeah, okay.

They head up to their room, and Nick grabs some of the blue gel stuff (aloe) from the gift shop on the way upstairs. They were really going to need it. When they got up to the room they both headed for the bathroom to change. Kenzi couldn't reach her back without making her sunburn completely uncomfortable so she just left her bathing suit top on. She changed into some sweatpants and laid on stomach on her bed. Nick just changed his pants after Kenzi was done in the bathroom.
Nick: You want some aloe babe? I think it'll help with the sting.
McKenzie: Yes, please. Anything, it hurts really bad. (AN: And Kacy was just complaining about how they hardly ever burn...)
Nick: I know. It'll be alright though, can you help me put some on my back after I do yours though?
McKenzie: Mhmm.

Nick gently sat down next to Kenzi on her bed. He pours out some of the aloe and puts it on her back. He gets to the point where the line from the back of her bikini is kinda in the way but if he lifts it up it'll hurt her sunburn more. He wasn't sure what to do.
Nick: Um, Kenzi?
McKenzie: Yeah?
Nick: Well, your bathing suit...its kinda in the way. What do you want me to do?
McKenzie: Hold on, I'll fix it. *Undoes the back strap so that she still wearing it around her neck but theres not strap across her back. Nick's feeling pretty awkward right now*
Nick: Okay then...*Puts on the rest of the aloe on her back*
McKenzie: Thanks, I borrow a really big t shirt? I can't wear one of mine, it'll take the aloe off my back.
Nick: Yeah sure, hold on. *They both get up and Kenzi takes the shirt and goes to change. Meanwhile, Nick lies on the bed and waits*
McKenzie: Okay, sorry if I hurt you, I'm not good at this.
Nick: Its okay. Mine's not that bad.

She puts on his aloe and turns on the TV. They watch the tube for a while and then they both fall asleep. While they are sleeping, Kevin tries to call and when he can't get them he walks over to their room and opens the door. He doesn't flip out about Nick and Kenzi in the same bed. It was obvious they weren't doing anything. Kenzi is under the covers and Nick's lying on his stomach with his head at the bottom of the bed. (He had been watching TV.) Kevin was more worried about their sunscreen. He woke Nick up and talked to him.
Kevin: Hey, how are you?
Nick: A little sore, but Kenzi's is worse. She's like bright red all over her back.
Kevin: Ouch, I know how she feels. Well we're gonna go out to dinner do you two wanna come or are you just gonna hang in here tonight?
Nick: I think tonight we'll just stay here. We'll order room service though.
Kevin: Alright, I'll come in when we get back later on tonight. Love you man.
Nick: Love you too. Have fun.
Kevin: You too. Feel better. Bye.
Nick: Bye.
