@Brera011 yeah after 1945 the half track concept was superceded - thanks to better gearing & suspension development - by the modern amoured personnel carrier

This Documentary Series is soo good.Before i was used to german Documentaries but there from 45 minutes 40 min i used for the Message "Your Grandfather was a Criminal and that is your Fault!!",nothing about technical stuff or background Information.

A Good Documentary Series about Planes is "Wings of the Luftwaffe"

@Brera011 I belive that the Israelis still use the M3 halftracks from WW2 but they have modified them

Great advantage of wheeled armoured vehicles is that they are fast, easy to build, very flexible for different usage, good to handle and easy to maintain. Also good in moderate terrain. Half tracks were good in moderate terrain too, but more expensive and only a few advantages. Half tracks are not longer in use in any modern army.
