A tribute to Hughie Thomason on the Lynyrd Skynyrd Cruise 2008 performed by 3 previous members of the Outlaws doing Green Grass and High Tides...Ean Evans (RIP)1988,1989 and 1992 with the Outlaws, Bass Player for Lynyrd Skynyrd on lead guitar and vocals ,Chris (Hitman) Hicks 1990 to 1996 with the Outlaws on lead guitar and vocals, and BB Borden 1987 to 1995 with the Outlaws on drums.
Thanks to Doug Gray of the Marshall Tucker band for making this happen !!! Other Marshall Tucker members playing include David Muse on saxphone fomerly of Firefall, Pat Ellwood holding the Bottom end down and Clay Cook on guitar.
Tragically we lost Ean (Mississippi Kid) not long after this from a battle with cancer. He was the bass player for Lynyrd Skynyrd following the death of Lean Wilkeson from 2001 till his death May 6 , 2009
Hughie Thomason died Sept. 9,2007 of a heart attack. Hughie was an original member of the Outlaws
and joined Lynyrd Skynyrd in 1996 but the Outlaws reunited in April of 2005.
These talented musicians will be missed but their music and Spirits will live on forever. God Bless
RIP HUGHIE!

A nice tribute! Chris's vocals are a bit shaky, but no one had the chops that Hughie did anyway. I've seen Clay play before. The guy does it all. Look for him to hit it big on his own someday....or..even better, become a part of the NEW Outlaws. Not the Paul-laws.

Steve, Cassie, Ronnie, Leon, Billy, and even Hughie. When does it end? God I miss those guys so much. All the free birds are in green grass and high tides forever...
Outlaw forever!!!

thanks for posting this. I was there. I was left speechless. It was such a great evening. Ean, Chris, and Clay did such an awesome job, along with the rest of MTB. I have goosebumps again just watching this video. Once in a lifetime event, for sure.

Thanks for posting the video! Ean was a friend of mine-he introduced me to many Skynyrd members and Dickey Betts. Miss Eans calls when they would be coming to Connecticut to play
