What happened to that Obama?

He must have been replaced.

The current Obama is expanding our illegal war against the Taliban and using drones, missiles and bombs to kill innocent people in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

More people are dying, and the defense industry can happily look forward to a profitable future.

Oh wait--I forgot I wasn't supposed to criticize him because he's black.

But isn't NOT criticizing him because he's black just as racist as criticizing him because he's black?

Ok, I still want to kick the ass of the person who lost the original speech! History is not going to judge them very friendly. Find it!

The speech makes several valid and valuable points worth repeating. For example, the big difference between opposing any war, and opposing a "rash war...based not on reason but on passion, not on principle but on politics."

But, WHEN was this speech first delivered, October 2, 2002 (before the Congressional authorization on Iraq) or October 26, 2002 (after)? Many examples of both dates can be found on the web.

I have heard about the "the speech" just never read it, or heard it.

Now that I have ... wow ... if there was any lingering doubt in my mind, it has been laid to rest.

Ladies and gentlemen, the President of the United States.

I've read it 100 times, but I am still amazed at the foresight and judgement shown by Obama every time I hear or read this speech.
