Removing Saddam from slaughtering his own people is a "dumb war" (Obama 2002) but now Obama removing Gaddafi from slaughtering his own people is somehow great! President Obama validates George W. Bush more and more every day.

Wow, does he also know that Muammar Gaddafi poses no imminent and direct threat to the United States, or to his neighbors, that the Libyan economy is in shambles, that the Libyan military a fraction of its former strength, and that in concert with the international community he can be contained until, in the way of all petty dictators, he falls away into the dustbin of history?

I reread the speech again today. I am so proud of our President! He knew in 2002 what many did not.

@EchelonMonitor Did I missing something, did he not say in this speech that we should finish the fight with al Qaeda? Did he not run on that in '08? Does he not start this speech with "I don't oppose war in all circumstances?" Obama hasn't changed his view on foreign policy, he ran on finishing the war in Afghanistan, he favors it in 2002. He was against the war in Iraq, and is ending it as soon as possible. If everyone wanted a peace candidate they should have voted for Bob Barr or Nader.

He must have been replaced.
The current Obama is expanding our illegal war against the Taliban and using drones, missiles and bombs to kill innocent people in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
More people are dying, and the defense industry can happily look forward to a profitable future.
Oh wait--I forgot I wasn't supposed to criticize him because he's black.
But isn't NOT criticizing him because he's black just as racist as criticizing him because he's black?
