@tiliov21 if it works after you call from your cell and you hear it ring than its good could be something you doing online that has something to do with it or your magic jack or your phone is defected, if you follow what I did and I'm sorry for the blurry parts when I zoom in on the wires and you get a dial tone it should be fine hope this helps my phone still works great on all my phone jacks in my house up and down stairs

@tiliov21 No I recive calls fine, but I noticed that to sometimes to Sence I got the magic jack i seem to miss calls and never heard the phone ring , but EVERY time I call from my cell phone for a test it always rings try testing it like that , it may be a hit and miss on land lines with VOIP because when I call my work sometimes it won't call that landline number but I try a different number it works not sure why doesn't happen all the time though. Don't think its the wires try the test

Yes It works if you have cable service going through your phone jack you just have to modify a phone cable to use the out side wires instead of the inside wires of the phone jack, you only have to modify the side of the cable that connects to the phone jack make 2 of them one that connects to the magic jack that that reroutes the signal in your phone jack then one that comes out of the phone jack to your phone to reroute the signal back to the middle wires to your phone and bam your done
