Obama's vote for the Democrats' Budget is at odds with his rhetoric on the campaign trail, where he claims he'll provide tax relief for working Americans. Obama: "I'll give a tax cut to working people ..." ( Barack Obama, Denver, CO, 1/30/08)

Obama Voted At Least 94 Times For Higher Taxes In The U.S. Senate.

  • $500 billion for war machinery. That and huge subsidies for corporations like ag and oil are what we're really paying for.

  • Taxes should not be a burden on Americans, they should be a joy to pay. It's not hard to understand: Lower taxes, increase revenues!

If everyone gets to keep what they earn in a free-market system, they'll work more, thus stimulating economic growth.

  • Good job putting this together... he is using tax break lies as a way to get into the White House. Shameful.

  • Do people realize if he is elected and if his "change" plan some how manages to get through the senate and congress it will increase the national debt by more than 250 billion dollars per year.

  • Obama has spent 941 working days in the US senate during that time he has requested more than 931 million in earmarks (PORK)thats a million dollars a day!!! John Mccain on the other hand has spent 7,945 days in the senate guess how much pork he has requested???????

Zero, nothing, nada, zilch!!! check it out for yourself I dare you!

  • amen to that! Keep the message alive! I could care less about his race or age or religion. He is completley unprepared! He is a celeb who will be lost on day one!!

  • It is a fact that Oil Companies make profits, no matter who is in the Whitehouse. In fact, McCain voted against tax breaks for Oil Companies following Katrina-but Obama voted for them. Palin increased Oil Company taxes in Alaska and returned $1000 of that money to each tax payer. Palin's husband is a steel worker.
