http://www.netbooknews.com - First impressions of Cloud the first real cloud computing operating system from gOS. Unfortunately i had no wifi connection available but i guess you are getting it. It's a beta version right now but it should be launched on CES 2009. Looks like it could be the Google Chrome OS

  • chrome OS is much better in my opinion(and yes it is released)

  • @halo3pownage nope, you can get chromium os and it's still pretty beta

  • This is just a browser! what else can you do with it except accessing the net? waste of time. to me this is just an application just like firefox(mail, youtube, etc all in there).

  • @The87thLetter what else do you wanna do with a mobile device?

  • is gos linux

  • @kloco23 yes, this is a Linux distribution

  • Just to make sure people now, gOS is not Chrome OS.

  • these types of cloud operating systems with just a browser are a fail IMO. What if you cannot find wifi or don't have 3g? You cannot do anything with the computer. Jolicloud is still my favorite since it gives you real applications that can run outside the cloud aswell as cloud applications which I really like a lot and it has great boot time

  • @bood3e WOOT! Apple FTW!

  • I want this so bad!

    But I can't get it!

  • @minipcpro no noob it was his opinion idiot

  • this thing have no desktop...

  • To all the whiners. We get it, your computer rocks. However, some of us DUAL BOOT operating systems to perform different tasks. If I want to produce music/play newgen games/get a full computing experience, yeah, i'll use windows or osx. Sometimes I just want to check facebook (don't we all?) and maybe i don't have a data plan on my phone. A quick booting cloud operating system is preferable in those situations, they're free, and your argument is invalid, stfu.

  • couldnt google remake android into a pc version instead?

  • only for NETBOOKS?

  • start using it Google save userdata know the can even see what u will do on the net.

  • Broken Link .

  • @mikee286 wtf i was looking for something like this for ages on the net and gave up! I need it for netbooks (as an alternative os to run beside Ubuntu) and my old Pent3 PC 200GHz (i think) 120 MB RAM! Thanks, man!
