Thunder Fox Game Sample - Genesis/MD

Lol, Thunder Fox... an old, somewhat mediocre Taito game that wasn't ported very well to the Genesis, but it's okay nevertheless. This certainly wouldn't be the only mediocre port of a Taito arcade title (but I stress once again that the original wasn't that great in the first place)... *cough*Operation Thunderbolt on SNES*shudder*. I need to revisit the arcade version sometime.

This game is mediocre simply because it makes no sense and poses almost no challenge; you can do invincible flips through bombs and kill more terrorists by falling on them than with screen-obliterating cannons. However, most people may tell you the opposite; that it's hard. Well, sorry, but it's not. Playing as either anti-terrorism members, Thunder or Fox, you defeat waves of enemies and can grab various weapons to fight the bad guys, but once you just learn how to "jump", you can eradicate most threats with ease. The game certainly won't get any props from me for the presentation either; the game looks more like a really sharp NES title than a Sega Genesis title with a particularly low range of colors and slow gameplay. The audio isn't any better. Well, enjoy anyway.

Pretty cool music, but the game seems easy as hell, indeed.
