Shadofax from Lord Of The Rings. His real name is Blanco and he did a clinic with his owner/trainer at the Midwest Horse Fair in Madison Wisconsin. His ears are back because he has earplugs in because he doesn't like applause.

For the last time...he's NOT scared!

He doesn't like noise so they put cotton in his ears.

He doesn't like the cotton either but it's better than him being scared of the noise.

He's really beautiful! But the ears are back as a sign of concentration, calm, and submissiveness. If he was angry or feeling discomfort, the ears would be lying even further down to the neck.

I adore these horses and the wonderful things they can do but this video doesn't please me at all. Agree entirely with the people who think he looks stressed and doesn't seem to be enjoying himself. Being whizzed straight from one trick into another without a moment to gather his thoughts... I do not like seeing horses being "bullied" into performing, which IMO is what is hapening here. Woman would be pissing me off too whizzing around waving a whip at me.

I think it is amazing but I don't like it that the horse never puts it's ears forward. He never seems to look happy.

@jumanji321 There were two horses that played Shadowfax. Domero was the main Shadowfax, but died a few years ago from melanoma. Blanco (this horse) was his stand in!
