  • @mark5634 At least 2000 Kelvin

  • I worked in a foundry for 10 years the casting dept in fergus ont. Our furnaces were 15 thousand.. 12 thousand and 6 thouslbs capacity. We casted brass bronz mostly. It was hot work and didnt matter how muggy or hot it was out side we had to work. This is hot and dangerous too ours was more so on a bigger scale. I loved it Looks like the guy with no helmet and safty clothes was putting graphite on top of the figurines to keep it hot we used 50 lbs bags on the furnaces to do the same

  • flawless..

  • How hot is steel when it melts?

  • excellent timing :P

what is the name of remix of right round?

  • I work at Sheffield Forgemasters heavy foundry and cast anything up to 580 tonnes at one pour but this work looks harder with all the running about than my job!

Our ladles hold up to 105 tonnes each but they're carried by crane and not by hand..

  • Man this stuff is awesome! I was originally going to say "man this stuff is so cool" but I realized that would be completely wrong.

  • Nice. My little backyard foundry will never get to this level though...

  • The "hot topping" is used to insulate the top (sand) so that the riser remains at a high enough temperature to continuously feed the casting.

  • @yellowmetalcyborg yeah i know why its there i watet to know what it is, its name ro chemical composition, Dahed wrote it already,
