  • Anita Baker , she is a genius , brilliant songstress

  • I dont know at what point I absorbed her music or when her music absorbed my life but after it happened...it was forever. BIG LOVE TO ANITA..from not-so-sunny England XXX

  • Anita, U GO Girl !!!! So much class and beauty from woman with a beautiful voice. That song "I Apologies," is one of my favorites.

  • I agree with the 'it's about damn time' comments. She is at least in my top 3 favorite musicians, depending on mood the favorite period. She says it's a pleasure/privilege & that she would just as soon share her musical talent for popcorn and peanuts LOL -her modesty only makes her that much more endearing. So many vocalists today think that just projecting and modulating voice as often as possible makes them some musical DaVinci but at least for my ears no one is as good as Ms. Baker.

  • this acknowledgment was long over due..........one of my all time favorite girl singers.

  • I agree about time she should have got one the award from her first album but we know how the world operate what good for you they hold back and whats bad they make available immediately...the world is mes'd up I have always loved anita baker's music her music for me as a young kid growning up in the robert taylors of chicago illinios is true poetry to me and gave me strength to live for another day when I wanted to give up on people's love and unity to one another...FROM THE PILLOW FAMILY

  • She should do another album!
