Beat the entire game- including both EPs, Signal & Writer- on the Nightmare level.

And I actually was silly enough to play both EPs for the first time w/out any of the easier difficulty levels; but I still beat the game. c:

Love AW, and I can't wait for a sequel- or even a movie, if possible! ^_^

yeh alan wake is such a beautiful and mysterious game, proving to be more than just a mindless shooter we gamers have sorely become more than aquainted with these past few years.

Alan wake still holds its title in my books: best narrative in a videogame. I know most will say im pushing it but it is truly a masterpiece.

The two special episodes were good, and fit well with the original story, but the plot of american nightmare looks terrible and isnt an official sequel- so why create it remedy?

the specials are much harder than the rest of the game... actually makes you try rather than half mindedly wandering through. maybe the devs made it like that so people can experience the whole story without quitting in the middle.

@MrFLUFFYCAMELS It is a form of project if you will. They are trying new ideas out and is expanding the universe with the story being Alan Wake's earlier works with an extra hidden story under everything building to the second game, however the genre it takes is drastically different for them to fiddle around and try new things that they wouldn't risk in a full sequel. The main story isn't cannon, however things such as Mr Scratch and whatever underlying story is, if that makes sense.

@WoWKlump When you're dedicated enough, anyways. It got pretty annoying at times, but I loved the game enough to stick to it. It's not merely bragging, it's my way of trying to emphasize on how much I enjoy this game. :)
