in this project my students and i created ourselves as action figures. to start we photographed ourselves in photo-booth. transfer image to i-photo for cropping and minor editing, then to photoshop for cut out and stroking. We printed our image on photo fabric. Cut out both front and back fabric at the same time. (trust me that will save time and constant questions) We used bailing wire (very cheep at hardware store) and masking tape to create our armature and scrap fabric for stuffing. We used felt. Using the quilt stitch we finished our action figures. Over all the students did have fun. There were some complaints about sticking fingers from the needles but with some close supervision and me working along side, the process became a bonding project for all. Next step is the sequence animation. Keep you posted on that...:)
