  • Have a look at Tina Turner's recent backing band, John plays guitar & is her musical arranger. I Remember Yesterday!

  • Yes John has been Tina's music director for the last 10 years. It's a bit sad in a way because he is the superstar who missed the boat. Issuing all his albums on CD would certainly recover interest in his work and command nematerial. To be honest though I don't think John is interested in a come back. Some early albums have recently been realeased on CD by a Company called lemon butbeware !. The recordings are just taken from vinyl, they didn't even bother tracking down the master tapes

  • watched john live at the apollo , glasgow around the time this song was in the charts .. one of the best live acts i have seen .. was about 17 at the time but still remember the gig as if it was yesterday .. a certain john cougar was the support ..

  • Hi,

I envy you. Wished I had been there. Hopefully more uploads soon

  • Great stuff! So underrated

  • Absolutely without doubt underated and mainly due to let down by the Record Company. Thanks for watching.

  • I remember the Gig at Glasgow, John Cougar got the slow hand clap and lost the plot with the welcoming Glasgow audience. Miles came on and blew them away. A genuine under rated class act. It's a shame better quality CDs are not available. STV have one on here of the Zaragon tour taster.

  • John Miles also sang on Alan Parsons Projects albums Tales of Mystery,Stereotomy and Gaudi. He is a true professional and very much overlooked.

  • Thank you for putting this video up!

As an aside I would like to point out that the producer of John Miles' Rebel album was Alan Parsons (Pink Floyd, Al Stewart, The Hollies, etc) and he also produced Pilot's "Magic" single, which some of you might enjoy :)

  • Another one of those forgotten Brits.....

    xx

  • I was Johns tour manager on his first tour, was given the job my his manager Cliff Cooper of Orange music, makers of the great sounding Orange Amplifiers back in 1975.. On the first tour the band did not wear white suits. John just played like he always did, being himself. John is a talent that should have been bigger than the road he was given.

  • Great range and a competent guitarist to boot!

  • wonderful song - it is great - i love this song -

beautiful pictures - thank you - lg gitte

  • I love John Miles ... great singer, great songwriter. I rate 'Zaragon' as one of the best ever recordings---period. All this, and I live in the US., and if you're thinking "so what", let me tell you, almost nobody knows who he is over here. Shame, huh? His first 4 (thru 'Sympathy') were consistently great. And special kudos to the brilliant lyricist Bob Marshall, who imbued John's music with so much emotion, wit and introspection.
