The Statue of Zeus at Olympia was made by the Greek sculptor Phidias, circa 432 BC on the site where it was erected in the Temple of Zeus, Olympia, Greece. It was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

The seated statue, some 12 meters (43 feet) tall, occupied half of the width of the isle of the temple built to house it. "It seems that if Zeus were to stand up," the geographer Strabo noted early in the first century BC, "he would unroof the temple." The statue of Zeus was a chryselephantine sculpture, made of ivory and gold-plated bronze. No copy in marble or bronze has survived, though there are recognizable but approximate versions on coins of nearby Elis and on Roman coins and engraved gems. A very detailed description of the sculpture and its throne was recorded by the traveler Pausanias, in the second century AD. The sculpture was wreathed with shoots of olive worked in gold and seated on a magnificent throne of cedarwood, inlaid with ivory, gold, ebony and precious stones. In Zeus' right hand there was a small statue of crowned Nike, goddess of victory, also chryselephantine, and in his left hand, a sceptre inlaid with gold, on which an eagle perched. Plutarch, in his Life of the Roman general Aemilius Paulus, records that when he beheld the statue, "was moved to his soul, as if he had seen the God in person," while the first century AD Greek orator Dio Chrysostom declared that a single glimpse of the statue would make a man forget all his earthly troubles.

jesus is a man is also god , did jesus die as a man or as a god ? 1 man cant carry the sins of the world ,nor can GOD ever die. if god became a REAL HUMAN how did he have super powers. how did he become a god again. GOD SAID in the bible i am NOT the author of confusion.......

Jesus died as a human not as a God but he was resurrected after 3 days. A God does not die and neither did Jesus divine aspect! It's normal for some people to be confused if they have not delved into the scriptures, some meanings are too confusing for most people!

WHY DO I SAY THAT THE HOLY SPIRIT IS GOD'S MANIFESTATION IN THE CREATION?

ok people lets clarify this matter. LordGod father is one, Jesuscrist is the son & the holy spirit is God's spiritworkforce in the creation, so Lord God is the creator, Jesus is his only-begotten son (that means that Jesus is the only spirit that has the same caracteristics of LordGod himself, thats why he was the only one capable of defeating death and teach everybody the truth about everything), & the holy spirit is Lord God's manifestation in the creation KEEP READING NEXT COMMENT

As i told you when Jesus speaks, He sometimes speak as a God and sometimes as a human, as a God He is one and the same with His Father, as a human He is inferior (sort of speech). Anyway as i told you, these meanings are understood only by those who have delved into the scriprures. And do not forget that the original text of the New Testament which is in Greek cannot be translated into English or other languages to express the exact same meanings as expressed by the Greek language.

bible god is NOT the author of confusion , trinity is confusion to most christians that why many leave for this 1 reason bible does not have trinity in it nor did jesus preach it when he was asked by learned man he said GOD IS ONE word for word what moses got 1300years earlier that was right time to say 1john 3;16 but he dint mention trinity. that is just teaching of the church, 3gods PERSONS but not 3 gods but 1 WHAT LANGUAGE IS THAT gibberish or oompa loompa language
