  • Thank you doctor for that information. Very informative. And to comment on the remark by an obviously immature person, he/she is way off. You are attractive and intelligent, great combo!

  • Are there any Radiologist who don't do procedures?

  • he may look like ugly or like a killer, but he IS making at least 500 k a year soo im sure he doesn't care what he looks like

  • Radiologists always look abit like zombies.. stuck in a dark room staring at screens all day.. No THANKS... I'l stick to being a MRT thanks

  • @agenthelios sorry, miles per second----speed of light.

  • @agenthelios Technologist, not technician. Yes, you will be exposed to radiation constantly, however there are several steps that can be taken to protect yourself. In x-ray school you are taught "Time, Distance and Shielding.", the three most important things to know to limit your dose. As for the radiation, yes, it is ionizing, but it travels at 186,000 feet per second; by the time you let go of the button, even the scatter radtion is gone.

  • @adamrocks2006 No, and patients always think that I am the guy that preforms the scans. No, I am the guy that diagnoses the scans! And there is about a 300k salary difference.

  • @mstakkrid 5 years. You get paid approx. 50k+/year while in residency. Use that to pay of your student loans! That's what I did. Then, after residency you become an "official" radiologist and have no need for someone to be supervising you. Your salary also bumps up to about 350 - 450k, depending on your region.
