Grim Fandango ~ Manny & Meche - Vocal Cover (Original Lyrics)

This is my vocal cover of the song "Manny and Meche" from the game Grim Fandango. The music was composed by Peter McConnell, and the vocals are done by me. The lyrics were written by my friend Jenny.

"I love Grim Fandango and I am deeply in love with the soundtrack. Along with "Companeros", "Manny and Meche" is the best track in the whole soundtrack. Grim Fandango is a very clever and funny game, it has you laughing out loud half the time. However, when I wrote these lyrics I was inspired by the more serious themes of the game, namely death and love after death. I find the whole idea of Manny and Meche realising that the love of their lives was actually the love of their death, so to speak, extremely inspiring, and that is what I tried to describe with the lyrics. "Death has come to start your life a new" is the very core of the song's concept as far as I am concerned, and I am personally rather pleased with the results. I really hope everyone likes it. //Jenny"
