Is the T816 still limited to 140km/h service? It seems to me that using the SS8 means restoring the 160km/h speed for T-services.
By the way, should the power supply coach keep working, it's possible to run the Guangzhou-Kowloon section of services T803 and T804 using the SS8 as uninterrupted power supply is maintained.

Yes. As I know the 25Z Coach can only run 140km/h.
